I am trying to communicate between a Panelview 550 and an SLC 5/03 processor with a 2711-NC13 Cable.
The original Panleview failed (2711-K5A2) and we replaced it with a 2711-K5A5 (that we had available here), FRN 1.07 and the processor is an SLC5/03 - OS302.
I have changed Channel 0 - System to DH485 using RS Logix in the PLC program and changed to the correct catalog and revision number for the Panelview with Panelbuilder, however I cannot communicate between them.
The RS232 light is illuminated on the PLC, the PLC node is 5 and the panelview node is 6.
Any help on the above would be much appreciated? Please let me know if I have missed any information that would help?

Thanks

The baud rate is at 19200 on the panelview and in the communication set up on the PLC it is the same.

Thanks

I think so, in panelbuilder comms set up, the node address for the PLC is 5 and the terminal node address is 6.

Max node addresses? Did you change it on both sides or leave the default. (is 31). Just throwing out ideas.

The max node address on both sides is set at 31, thanks for all the help so far, I am going to try a couple of other ideas, I will let you know how they work out.
