Write your own analogue simulator. E.g. for an fwds/revs system
If Fwds then Pos=Pos + Inc
If Revs then Pos=Pos - Inc
If Pos > Max then Pos=Max
if Pos < Min then Pos=Min
This can easily be expanded for a proportional system.
