PC Communication with CPU944 using SI2

Hello,
I try to make communication with CPU944 using SI2 serial adapter through a RS232 TTY adapter cable.I use 3964(R) procedure.The comunication is able to be initialized but i did'n t receive any valid data message from the CPU944.I received only ETX DLE which meant that is an end of transmision.When i wish to acces a DB with DW , the message which should contain the data is empty.
Is possible to be some special settings for SI2 ?
Any suggestion is really apreciated.
