Guys,

I have virtual serial port freeware from http://www.hw-group.com/ and I was wondering if I could program and monitor my PLC (Eaton/CH ELC)through my HMI (Eaton/CH Panelmate ePRO PS). I want to be able to have one ethernet connection to the HMI and RS-485 from it to the PLC. What system does this software need to reside? How do I figure out what port numbers correspond to the IP address and the COM port? The ePRO use KEPWare as the OPC server, could this be configured to pass this info from ethernet to serial?
