few instructions regarding siemens plc

dear friends
i dont know the process of communication between modicon plc and pc please help me in this procedure of communication so that it can help in completion of my project.

could you clarify the type of PLC.
Modicon or Siemens?
I know a bit about modicon.
You can use modbus or modbus plus to connect PC to PLC
I know nothing about Siemens.

Do you mean MODSOFT when you refer to modbus software?
What modicon PLC do you have,
for example
984-685E
Quantum
Momentum
Compact
PC0085
there are others but these are the ones I have used.

all but the 085 have a modbus port and can be connected to a PC.
Connect to the com port on your PC with a special cable.
Launch MODSOFT, configure addressing to match PLC and go on-line.
I am at home right now and all my reference material is at work.
