Micrologix 1000 and PV550

Okay people I have another question for ya'll, I am wanting to use a micrologix 1000 and a pv550, I am choosing the micrologix because its cheaper, smaller, and will do what I want. I am choosing the pv550 because we have one taking up space in a cabinet and I would only have to buy 1. Now for my question, what do I need to make the micrologix talk to the pv550? I have worn out the Rockwell website and still haven't found this information.

You can configure the MicrLogix com port for RS-232 DF1(factory default) and use a 2711-x5A16 PV 550 (x=K for Keypad T for Touch or B for both). Connect them with 2711-NC21 cable. Or you could configure the MicroLogix port for DH-485 and use a 2711-x5A5 or 2711-x5A9 PV 550 and connect with 2711-NC13 cable. There are other possibile combinations on the DH-485 option if you think you will ever need to network other DH-485 devices with your ML/PV.

I can help you better if you could tell me the part number of the Panelview 550. There are a few different Panelview 550's with different communication ports.

I stand corrected, use the same 2711-NC21 cable for either of the options I mentioned in my earlier post.
