Rs500

Could someone tell me or point me in the direction of a comparison between RS500 and RS500 Professional? I would like to know the advantage the professional has over the ...UN professional?

RSLogix500 Pro version has some extra features that the standard version doesn't. These features are: Custom Graphical monitor, Recipe Monitor, Factory Talk Diagnostics, Edit database Using Excel,Logic Trace (like Back and forward buttons in IE), Source Control Utility and VBA. These features are not very important things and I believe that you can work easily without them. Hopefully this helps you out.

I wouldn't say it's not necessarily worth the money.... But if you are an "end user" instead of a machine builder, then yes.... You'll probably never miss those features. The ability to use excel can be EXTREMELY useful, if you are doing anything reasonably complicated.
