I have a S7-318 and 224XP with a profibus module. I can not communicate between the two of them. I have the hardware setup in the S7-318 as node 5 and the the I address is 400...415 and Q address 300...315(8 word out/8 word in) The V memory offset is 200. In the 224 the word that I am trying to see the the 318 is vd200. I've checked the profibus node on the module. I can see the vaule changing in the 224. I can not see the value in the hardware monitor/modify window. I'm thinking that i'm doing something wrong with the V memory offset or the address setup in the hardware configuration of the 318.

Thanks in advance for any help.

S7-200 on PROFIBUS

Hi,

Do you have communication between S7-300 and S7-200? You can check this going online in hardware configuration of 318 or checking if 318 or EM253 has a red BF (Bus Fail) led.

I don't have a 253 module. I have 277 profibus module on the S7-200. I figured out my problem. The offset was wrong as I suspected.

Thanks
