Request for pinout info

Sorry, You need interface module as well:
- for LapTop CP5511 (PCMCIA)
- for DeskTop CP5611 (PCI)
and flexible MPI-cable as 6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0
They works in Profi- and MPI-busses (in S7-315-2DB).
Pin order is the same than in drowing above for Profi- and MPI-busses.

Ps. I'm not Simatic admirer, but I have to do this Job for my leaving.

Pinout info

Pin no.:
Code
Meaning
Input / output

1
NC
Pin 1 is not connected
-

2
M24 EXT
M24 EXT return line (GND) of the 24V power supply.

The current load from an external user connected between P24 EXT and M24 EXT must not exceed a maximum of 150mA.
Output

3
LTG_B
Signal line B of the MPI module
Input / output

4
RTS_AS
RTS_AS, control signal for Receive data flow. The signal is "1" active when the directly connected AS sends.
Input

5
M5 EXT
M5 EXT return line (GND) of the 5V power supply. The current load from an external consumer connected between P5EXT and M5EXT must not be greater than 90 mA.
Output

6
P5 EXT
P5 EXT power supply (+5 V) of the 5V power supply. The current load from an external consumer connected between P5EXT and M5EXT must not be greater than 90 mA.
Output

7
P24 EXT
P24 EXT power supply (+24 V) of the 24V power supply. The current load from an external user connected between P24 EXT and M24 EXT must not exceed a maximum of 150mA.
Output

8
LTG_A
Signal line A of the MPI module
Input / output

9
RTS_PG
RTS output signal of the MPI module. The signal is "1" when the PG/PLC sends.
Output

Can you use the MPI cable 6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0 for profibus communications??

yes, on siemens, MPI is connected same way as Profibus, so... pins 4-8-5 and 3

some units, like OP170B have even one connecteur for both, you can setup it like MPI or Profibus-DP, it's about software way and the cable length limit - BOTH ARE JUST 485!

those 24v and 5v is necessary for PC adapter and similar units only ...

Send signals on profibus between two simatic PLC

I´m trying to connect a 315-2DP to a 414-2DP for sending a few signals on profibus.

I have tryed to use SFB14 and FB14 but it didn´t work. I have a MPI-cable between the PLC:s. I can´t download FB14 to the 315-2DP even if it´s for use with S7-300 systems. Is it possible to do this with this functions?

If not: How shall i do?

I don´t understand the arguments: "ID" and "LADDR". Can som someone please explain them for me.
