Hi,

I hope that you help me with a problem. I have a CP340 and I want to connect
them to a PC throuht COM1. CP340 just send data with this connections
(pinout):

CP430 PC

3------------2

8------------7

5------------5

pins 1,4 and 6 are shunted

CP340 have the light green blinking (that's good), but when I open
Hyperterminal he show me symbols unknown. Where I could be wrong? Cable
Pinout? I hope that you help me,

Best regards and thanks,

I Understand that you send data from CP340 to PC. CP340 with RS232 or RS422/485 port.
If RS232 you connect
CP340 port COM1
2(TX)------------------3(RX)
3(RX)------------------2(TX)
5(GND)-----------------5(GND)
You don't connect 2 of CP340 with 3 of COM1

Best regards and thanks,

Since the lights are blinking it means that you have communication.

What you see is only a selected way to display the Zeros and Ones received by your serial com.

he show me symbols unknown.

Go to the Hyperterminal menus and select to have it displayed another way.

Go in the "propertie / Settings then select a few other emulation and ASCII setups.

I personnaly use "Portmon" which is a free port capture and monitoring software. You get the raw data or convert it.
