major fault record on logix5000

I know this is prob a silly question, but is the last three major/minor fault held in history (controller properties) on a series 5000 processor if the faults are cleared using the key switch, not software?
Cant seem to find any info on this apart from how to create fault routine / clear faults etc
any help appreciated
