Hi all,
i just wanted to know how many bits can be stored in a data block and how many messages can an alarm ack. op send to the PLC?

Thanks for your time and help. Regards

That's really going to depend on what system you are using. Different manufacturers will have different ways of doing memory allocations.

Hi Boschow,
how many bits can be stored in a data block

I believe you are using a 300 range CPU

CPU 312/313/314/315/316 =DBX0.0 to 8191.7
CPU 318=DBX0.0 to 65533.7

i dont have the info to hand for the 317.

how many messages can an alarm ack. op send to the PLC?

32 words in length i believe, which matches the Message buffer of 256 messages

Hope this helps
