I have a 1764-micrologix 1500 LRP series C, processor. On the channel 1 which is on the side I have a scanner connected. The panelview I have is a PV300 with DH485 protocol(2711-K3A2 PV300 Key, FRN 4.10-4.xx).

My question is, do you use the 1761-CBL-AS03 cable to connect to the AIC+, and if yes then how do you communicate with everything once channel 0 of the processor has been changed to DH485.

Or is there an easier way.

Thanks

You are on the right track. The 1761-CBL-AS03 cable connects the Net-AIC's DH485 trunk connector to the PV300, and you connect the MicroLogix and your programming PC via the two RS-232 ports.

If this is an OEM sort of application, get cables that will power the Net-AIC from the MicroLogix by using a 1761-CBL-AM00 cable (round-to-round), then use a 1747-CP3 to connect your PC to the 1761-Net-AIC. If you're looking to simplify your cable assortment you can use two ordinary 1761-CBL-PM02 cables, which most people use to download programs to MicroLogix controllers.

The configuration you describe is just like the "3-node network" shown on page 24 of the new edition of the 1761-NET-AIC User Manual.
