i need a help to develop a process of motor to run my project. i want to built a linear motor movement on a 25m rail. the motor can be stop at 10m,15m,20m,25m and lastly at the starting point. this project is for shooting range. please help me.

I am not sure what your budget or complexity constraints are, but I have recently used a SEW Movidrive B VSD in an indexing application and they are accurate, fast and easy to set up. You could set up a simple indexing conveyor application very easily and might not even need a PLC.
