Is there any software made by other companies that can program AB SLC 500s?

Affordable is relative, if you need to work with AB SLC then the cost is irrelevant....its a tool.

Well You can take the Ladder logic File and convert it to a SoftPLC file.
Then you would have to ditch the SLC hardware altogether and build a Soft PLC.
This is probably not what you are looking for.
If you want to use the AB hardware, I think you really want to use the RSLogix software.

SoftPLC (Topdoc)has software for PLC 2,3,and 5.
