Omrom CQM1 Cpu 21

Hi,

Need help here. I am trying to connect to Omrom CQM1 cpu 21 using a serial cable. I am using CX programmer 5.0. I have scanned the baud rate using the network configuration tool but with no success. I believe what I am missing is the configuration for the data format eg Databits, Parity and stop bits. Is there a way to determine what configuration have been set on the plc? Thank you.

Double click 'Settings' from CX Programmer then click the 'Host Link Port' tab.

The programming cable is a simple one, with the connections in the manual (2-3, 3-2 and 5-5).
Use the default parameters...
Have you cheked if the switches in the PLC are correct?

You're absolutly right.
Sorry for the mistake.
Here's the connections:

PC: (DB9 female) PLC: (DB9 male)
1,6,4 - Shunt
2----------------------------- 2
7----------------------------- 5
3------------------------------3
8------------------------------4
5------------------------------9

You are right the 9 pin cable I am using is a straight cable.
