Does anyone know the magic required to keep the real time clock in a TP177B active while the unit is powered down?

We have an application where several S7-200s with T177Bs are on a plant floor. At nights and weekends the power is shut off on these units. When the power is restored, the time and date on each TP177b resets to April 16, 2006 at 12:00pm

Thanks
Ian

The TP177B doesnt have a battery backed RTC you have to upload the time from a PLC using job 40.

See attached instructions from Siemens

Thanks John,

but that doc refers to S7-300/400s. We have S7-200s, which does have a RTC onboard. Guess we hav eto figure out on how to upload the clock data from the PLC via script in the TP177s

Job 40 is a TP job to upload the time from a S7 300/400, the procedure should work with S7-200 with RTC just use the same procedure but with S7 200 code instead.
