PV1000 with logic module

Hi All,
we have a new bit of kit on site a PV1000 with a logic module now the PV100 is connect via ethernet to a ML1100 but what I was hoping to do is connect the PV1000 to our DH485 network via the RS232 on the logic module thus enabling it to comunicate with the rest of the plant in it's area can this be done and if so how?
