Hi there,

Could anyone tell me what cable do I need for connecting my PC to a small Siemens S7200 (CPU214)? I mean, any wire details, interface?
I know it isn't MPI, nor RS232, but the Siemens cable costs 85 Euros.

Thank you,

gica

Thank you RRobins, but I think that's a Siemens catalog code.
Well, I was thinking to biuld myself the interface! :))

Gica2002,

I wish you good luck and if you succeed then I'm very interested to know how you did it. The converter Siemens sells is not only a RS232-RS485 converter which is data-controlled, it also contains some protocol conversion. To re-engineer this it could cost you very well a lot more than 85 Euros.

Kind regards,
