Emulator / Simulator for S7 CPU 214

Hello,

I have been searching the net for days for an Emulator / Simulator for an old Simatic S7 CPU 214 PLC. I have found PLCSIM from Siemens, but it does not support the 214 CPU. Same goes for WINPLC7 from Vipa.

Any help to find an Emulator for this beast is highly appreciated.

But considering how affordable S7-200 is, why dont you just purchase another CPU to do your simulation on ?

I have downloaded it: Looks simple to use, but found no instructions on how to use it. I have also found that in fact WINPLC7 can be used to emulate the 214, but it looks overly complex at first sight. Searching the net for tutorial for WINPLC7 all search results has something to do with "cracks"; nobody seems to use it? Any ideas where to find a docs and serious users of WINPLC7 ?

I have of course thought of this, but it requires a lot of wiring, and I travel a lot, so a PC based emulator can easily be used wherever I go.

I have used some time on WINPLC: It doesn't look to difficult to use it once I put some effort into understanding it.

However, I am now thinking this: I do NOT need a 214 compatible Emulator to do the simulation work, or what? I mean, the CPU 214 program is written in Ladder form and uses only digital I/O, and I gues I can recreate the same Ladder logic on a S7 300.

All I am looking for, is to find any problems in the program if an unexpected Input is encountered: I do not care about the scan time (it is a slow process anyway).

So, I should even be able to use Siemens' PLC SIM or whatever it is named?
