A drive running a motor @ 50Hz takes 13Amps

How much will it take before the drive ?

More or less ?

Hi Combo.

I assume you mean same voltage and frequency on line side and drive side.

If it was less current, then you would have invented a means to generate free electrical power. Unfortunately I dont think this is the case.
In principle it should be the same current, but as there are some losses in the drive itself, you must expect a slightly higher current on the line side.

tnx

More current on the motorside when the frequency is lower then 50Hz is what we have seen, and that's logical.

And indeed, when running @ nominal speed we have same current on both sides and little more line current.

Thanks for your reply
