The ControlLogix uses TAGs instead of I/O addressing to do ladder logic. My HMI software does not support TAG addressing. Can I change the A-B to use I/O addressing?

TIA

Hi,

Are you sure that you are using the correct driver? The Mitsubhsi E1151 AB CLX driver supports tag-addressing (I know because I've used the driver).

Let me know if you need more help!

could you explain where I may find the new addressing for the arrays I just made?

It's been a while since I did it but it was pretty straight forward. Look at the attached file to see where to click. Enter the Array variable and a PLC5 style address - such as F8 or N7. Someone else said there is a driver that will read the ControlLogix - that would be the way to go ideally.

Hi,

There are two ways to go:
- DF1 and mapp CLX-tags
- Use the CLX driver over ethernet
You will get better performance if you use the ethernet driver prior the serial DF1.
