Simodrive Commission

I have 2 axis Simodrive installed but i can't seem to get it going. The configuration I have now is exactly the same as the one I did previously, except, the previous set was installed and tested in Germany. This set here was installed locally.
Profibus is confirmed working. Drive parameter copied from previous set.
The error I get is, Error 790=0x2 "positioning" operating mode selected for the Nset control module
Remedy is "Select Nset operating mode or use a positioning module"

I just dont understand how to go about working on this. Pls help.

u have three modes for operating the drive

u have to choose the mode in item 700

refer to the manual or if u are using simocom to select the proper mode

im using mode 3 and this was proven from the previous setup. The configuration is the same, but not tested by me at initial stage. The parameter files i have are "as-built" from previous. Im very confused too.
