RSView Studio ME - Trending

Hi,

Does anyone have any info on getting the PV+ to trend continuously (even when you have navigated away from the trend screen)?

I seem to remember something about having to use TAG names and not direct addressing, but it seems to make no difference???

I only want to trend real time, not historical data.

Any ideas

You have to add the tags to the trend data buffer, at least in most versions of RSView. This changed around in various versions.

Thanks for the reply Tom. Just to clarify, i need to create a Data log model (even though i'm looking real time at a couple of temperatures) - and then point the trend to the model to get the data to capture in the background?

Hey Tom, I have another questioo for you. I am trying to run 8 data log models during run time... Is there a way to do this?

Do I need to create macros?

The reason why I need 8 trend charts is because some of my I/O points do not need to be recorded as much as others.
