Hi
Just set up an ASi piece of kit with the S7-200 ASi Wizard
I was interested to see what the code was thats generated ?
The code has a padlock on it, KnowHowProtect ?
The S7 CanOpener is for presumably the 300/400 range so is there any way of seeing the code or not ?

And the reason i ask is that all my code is paid for by the hour and i dont lock any customers code whatsoever, i just think if they have paid for it they should have full access to it and if the HMI is programmed right they will hopefully never need to go online anyway...
I saw the wizard setup for both the ASi and TS text screen and thought excellent.........Except the code is locked!
Do i need to write my own code for this ?

If you do a search here this subject has been discussed many times before. Someone had a way around the lock. That is all I can remember - sorry.
Hang on - found a link to the subject

Did a search and tried that before i posted.
I can find no DBF files on the S7 200 project, i guessed that it was for the S7 300/400...

Sorry Dave - I guess you will have to wait on a Siemens whizz kid.
