S5 I/O S7 PLc

Hi Everybody
In one project i want to use S5 I/O with S7 PLC.
I will be thankful if someone that has done this procedure before, help me for configuration the PLC.

Depending on the hardware you have (both S5 and S7 CPUs), different answers could come up. Please describe your application with more details.

In the meantime, using an IM308-C as a Profibus slave to a S7 (Profibus master) comes to mind as a solution that we have used before. Have a look at the following Siemens link for more details:

Thank you for your reply.
In our project, we want to replace S5 controllers with S7 PLC, without changing I/O cabinets.
I have found that we should use IM 463-2 in S7 rack, and IM 314 in S5 Racks, but i have not done this procedure before.
So i need help for it, and also i want to know how i should get information, Data, and Diagnostic from S5 I/O on S7 PLC.
