2nd. The software I mentioned is for the most normal variant.
That is, you have an OPC client that want to access an S7 PLC over a Profibus DP network. The adresses in the PLC can be just any address. Both S7 PLC and OPC Client are masters on the network.

The DP version is for when you exchange the data via i/o areas. Potentially much faster, but also much more cumbersome and inflexible to setup.

The FMS version is for a variant of Profibus that is almost not used anymore.

We'd like to establish an MPI communication between a Simatic S7-300 and a PC with CP 5613 A2. Is it possible? How we should do that?
