basic beginer, needing help

Is or isn't this the right place to ask questions and recieve answers? I will ask again my question

I have just received a Mecman IPC 500J with, -- 3 modules having 8 inputs each and 2 modules having 8 outputs each and 1 dummy module.
It is a 1K E2 PROM memory chip and typed on it is;
Line: 6720 KRYMPPL.
File: 6720
MECMAN 950515
I would like to use this IPC (PLC) on a hobby machine that I am building. I understand a small amount about PLC’s, but what I don’t know is what software to use for MECMAN type plc. Is there someone out there that can help me? Thanks

It appears to be a Bosch Rexroth product.

I suggest you search their website or contact your local distributor. While you're talking to the Bosch/Rexroth distributor, ask about their special of the week. I hear you can get a great deal on an attitude adjustment.

And of course your threads. Judging by the responses from these there isn't much available and this appears to be a very old and outdated PLC. You might try to follow some of the suggestions from these previous threads.

The valves listed are rexroth items that Steve might have been refering to.
