Modbus to Profibus

I know it sounds like I can't make up my mind, but this really is a different enquiry

We have a custoimer with a SCADA system presenting a Profibus-DP interface to the outside world.

As before, we have a Modbus-RTU master on our kit.

So I need a device to be a Profibus-DP master, and rmap the info into a Modbus-RTU slave for me.

I have one suggestion

Unfortunately the DSP cannot be a DP Master; it can only be a slave with the optional expansion card.

We use the Modbus+/Profibus Slave version and have had no problems...

We get them from Routeco in the UK, the aluminium cased version is around GB£950

Take a look at some of the products from Hilscher. This is a unit that I will be trying to be a ProfibusDP master on one side and a ModbusTCP slave on the other. I talked with the Hilscher tech guy in Chicago on Friday and this products sounds like the fit for my needs. They may also have some stuff that goes to RTU also.
