Cell phone used as a modem

Has anyone out there tried to make a lg5200 act as a usb modem and talk to a AD 260 PLC via direct soft. I can't seem to get the plc to lock into the modem. It will via a land line modem. I also tried looking at a slc5/05 and had no problem.

Wait, the SLC worked through your cell phone? Thats pretty cool, what did you have to do to make that work?
