I went through beaucoup Google pages looking for something similar to a motorized tie rack to feed small parts into a production cell. I ran across a lot of interesting stuff, but nothing industrial in nature.

I could roll my own with a small geared motor, chain, and a limit switch but am hoping there may be something out there a little more off the shelf.

Optimally it would hold 40-60 parts about 2"x1/2"x24" that weigh about 1/4lb. each.

Any ideas where I can look?

TIA,
Mike

Google: "pick-and-place units"

This will give you a billion ideas. I checked out a few companies and they look like they supply what you want.

Mike,

There's more then a few companies out there who make conveying system components like small interlocking pallets drives & tracks etc.. Basicly it's like building a model railroad, with curved track, streight track, flat cars or box cars etc..
