It uses a standard 25-9 pin null modem cable to connect to a PC. Here are some wiring diagrams: http://www.jspayne.com/io/schematics.html You should only need 3 wires, 2 for TXD/RXD and one for GND.

If you have a PLC5/10,12,15,25 Then that port is a DH+ port see pic below. You will need a KTX card ( desktop) PMCK card ( laptop) or KF2 box ( or some third party device to connect to the DH+ port.
