5/03 & RS232

Your question is a little unclear. But if what you are trying to do is connect to your SLC5/03 thru its serial port using RSLinx for programming. Then a simple null-modem cable is all you need.
See PDF for AB's verison of this. ( all you need is pins 2 and 3 crossed and 5 pin connected). Go to Radio shack and get a null-modem cable 9-9 pin. Or make it yourself.
 
But with Factory Default Settings of the Port it won't work. First you have to go Online with DH485 and modify the Port settings.

The SLC5/03 has two ports Channel 1 is DH485, Channel 0 is DF1 (RS232).
Below is the factory default for channel 0, which is the port the OP was asking about
