We are looking at using one of the BabelBuster ( http://www.csimn.com/CSI_pages/BBSP.html ) Modbus to SNMP converters to give status information to the IT people from our equipment such as temperatures, alarms etc.

Being PLC people we know very little about SNMP, especially testing, has anybody used one of these products (or other devices)and if so what tools did you come accross to test the SNMP output from the device ?

A google seach throws up several hundred tools, some free some horrifyingly expensive, but it would be good to get a recommendation on one which somebody has used
