Simatic and MDAC

I have been experiencing problems with customers installing my software, ControlDraw, when they have Simatic software installed on their PCs. It appears that the Simatic software prevents VB6 Data controls from working, causing a "Couldn't find installable ISAM" error, which is I think MDAC version related.
Does anyone know if this is a know problem with Simatic ? And any solutions?
