hi everyone

this is in conjunction with a active thread i have going SLOW PANELVIEW . i changed my slc/03 program to enable df1 pass thru option to my connected panelview 550 . also changed the max node address from 31 to 4 . it worked fine being able to connect to the panelview thru the pass thru but after i changed to max node addresses and downloaded the program. now in linx i no longer can see the panelview and i am showing the same processor and program on all 32 nodes . if i delete a node it comes right back and i also can not stop or delete the df1 driver despite all my efforts has anyone seen this before ?

thanks

Now that you have jogged my memory I have seen something similar using
a KF2 box ( RS232 DF1 to DH+ converter) but that was several years ago. Much older ver. of RSLinx.
Do you have the latest ver. of RSLinx?
You should be able to delete the DF1 driver. You may have to uncheck the autobrowse and physical disconnect then try to delete. Or restart RSLinx without any connection and uncheck autobrowse then delete. Then restart RSLinx again.

I think that "ghost nodes" effect has to do with the Pass-Through function and the Device Type that you have selected in RSLinx.

When you select "KF3/KE" as the Device Type, the RSWho browser sends indentity requests with all possible node numbers in the destination field.

If the SLC isn't properly configured for passthrough, it answers those requests itself (it ignores the Destination field), thus every node number appears to be the same SLC.

Some of the "pass through" functions are not perfectly labeled and are easy to misunderstand. Post exactly which Status table bits you have set and cleared, and post the precise RSLinx configuration.
