Does any body have a link to the S5 floating point format?

I have a customer that wants to interface a S5 to our newer controllor which uses standard IEEE 754 format. I saw a document from a third party that indicates the S5 floating point format is non standard but little more. I've google for S5 floating point format but have found nothing that is usable.
