Is there a straight forward way of telling if a PLC5 has an eeprom on board? I have a 5/20 and a 5/40 and a 5/80, and I do not want to take them out of the racks.

The PLC-5 "Enhanced" processors (includes the 5/20, /40, /80) have a hinged door on the front of the controller that holds the memory module.

The memory module sticks out a bit from that door so it's easy to see.

Look under the rectanular opening on front of controller. See pics
