This is in reference to your "Homebrew DH485 PIC" thread you posted earlier. You had asked me what I was doing with the Atmel. When I first read your post I jumped to the conclusion the PIC was a PIC microntroller by Microchip not the AB interface converter box. :( But any way I'm using it as an operator interface for my ML 1200 units. It uses a 16 key matrix keypad for user data entry and a 16X4 LCD for message displays. For now I've programmed it to read and display Ascii messages(AWT)coming from the PLC and to read and write integer values to the N9 file(CIF or common interface files). I can use these files in my ladder code to MOV a value,lets say, into a timer preset to list one example.
