RSLogix5 Bit instruction question

I may have found it, the program is using a FAL instruction that is in mode ALL. I have not seen this instruction used before it looks like a reset button unlatches all latch instructions.
Can someone explain a reason to use this instruction in place of an unlatch. Save code is looks like because you want a single reset to clear all latches.
