RSlogix5000 tag types

Please advise before I keep going in the wrong direction!
Tags have to be Controller Scoped in RSL5k to be used with RS View SE, Correct?

I have been creating many program scoped tags for a distributed project with this eerie feeling that I will need to change the scope.

No,you can see program tags in RSView SE. They will show the program they are in along with the tagname.

You just have to look in a different place in the tag browser.

Controller tags appear at the top while you have to drill down further to find program tags.
