contacts

Physical NC contacts open when the coil to which they're attached is energized.

NC contact instructions in a PLC go to the FALSE state when the memory location to which they're addressed goes to the TRUE state.

The picture of a NC contact that you see on your computer's screen while you're monitoring the PLC program won't change to a picture of a NO contact unless you edit the program.
