Where in the world does a person check/modify the stop and parity bit settings on a ml1100? I am running RSLinx 500 version 7.20.00, and recently installed firmware revision 5 (I had the same "problem" before installing this latest revision). I also have the latest .eds file (if that is even relevant). I expected to see this in the channel 0 settings dialog box, but it is "missing." I also printed out the communication port settings and there is no mention of the parity and stop bit settings. (I tried to upload a picture of the dialog box, but my connection at work does not let me do this.)I have ASCII protocol selected.

If you click the help button on the channel configuration window you will find the following:

Stop Bits
(Not Applicable for the ML1100).

Parity is set right below the baud rate.

What is strange is that if you go to the software manual for ml100, it does show the sttings that I am looking for and one of the tables shows that these parameters are configurable - at least when doing ASCII protocol.

Usually there are 2 windows open, one on the left is project tree snd the ladder on the left BUT if you expanded the ladder the project tree may be underneath it.

In the project tree under Controller is Channel Configuration, click on it and it will take you where you want to go.
