RS232,422 to 485 coverter and rs 422,485 to USB conveter

Hi everyone,

I need a rs232,422 to 485 cnverter and 8 port re422,485 to usb converter. What brand could you recommend that is tested already. What specifications should I look for buying a conveter?

Try www.lantronics.com have used their gear before and it seems to be reasonably good.

B and B electronics also has some good converters. Adam -4520-d2 is also an excellent converter in that it will simulate any handshaking allowing you to use only two wire configuration regardless of handshaking signals generated by the software. I've managed to get this one working on lines that other converters wopuld not work on regardless of how I wired those lines. Price is about a 100 dollars higher than lower end converters
