Hi all.

In our plant we only use plc5 and plc500 processors. Recently a unit was purchased with Siemens s7 300 plc. I need to transfer 180 words of information between it and a plc504. Is there any way to communicate between these plc's without interfering with the DH+.

Thanks

Dont worry. There is no way that the S7 PLC can interfere with the DH+ network ;)

You dont write the specifics about the S7-300. If there is already Profibus in the S7-300 (onboard or CP) then the best way is to add a Profibus adapter in the SLC500 rack.

Alternatively, on the same website you can find gateways that connect 2 different networks together.

Notice that, no matter which solution you opt for, the S7-300 project will have to modified. So you should contact the original supplier to have him update the S7 configuration according to what you decide.
