I'm setting up a 10-slot SLC rack. Slot 6 is to be 1746NI16I, 16 channel current i/p and slot 8 is a 1746N08I, 8 channel current o/p. In the datafile window, I'm seeing I:6.0 to I:6.7 allocated ok, but not up to I:6.15. Also, there's allocation in O:6.0 to O:6.7. Likewise, the output module is allocated 8 input words as well as the expected 8 outs. My guess on the missing i/p's is that they're multiplexed, and maybe the O:6 words are control addresses? And maybe the I:8's are module status. Any ideas, please? Thanks.

What SLC do you have?
Are you using Class 1 or Class 3 for the module? (Use Class 3 much easirer set-up)
