panel view 1000 communication

We have a Panelview 1000 touch screen (color) connected to SLC 5/05 thru 2711-NC13 cable (Channel 0) and Channel 1 is Ethernet.

I was able to connect to PLC with Crossover cable and i expected panelview in the network..but i did not see panelview. So i tried to connect panelview using 1747-UIC [RS232 (DH485)]<----> 2711 NC13.

no luck yet...

can any one explain..where i am going wrong??

Drill into the serial port driver of the PLC in the Rslinx properties window. You will see the PV in tree.

For clarification, the DF1 driver that you are browsing the PLC with....

Be specific ! Be clear !

Rule #1: Always post the exact part number of the PanelView terminal you are using.

Only the part number will allow anyone to tell you for certain whether to use the 1747-UIC (if the terminal has DH485 protocol) or a straight-through serial cable (if the terminal has DF1 protocol).

First get the serial port configuration and PanelView cabling right, then you can work on the SLC-5/05 passthrough.
