Not an answer to your question, but...

Are you trying to embed help files within the MP application? This would be a cool feature to have on any HMI

Are you using protool or Wincc Flex?

If using Wincc couldn't you find an activex PDF reader and embed it in the project? I don't know but it seems like one way to do it.

I have help files on my HMI but I am using a PC.

As far as the PDF I would think if you had a WinCE pdf viewer you would be able to view them.
