I have encountered an error message "Error: Cannot Open Project Due To Version Incompatibility" when downloading and running a modified application which was done on RSView Studio V4.00, from the original application which was done using RSView Studio V3.??.
What can be done to overcome this problem, why is the new version not backward compatible?

You could upgrade the firmware in the PV+ to version 4.

it explains a bit on doing it on an older panel view, but will get you started.

The firmware in the Panelview is version 3.
When you compile the application with you version 4 software it asks you what version you wish to compile for but the default is version 4.
Either upgrade the PV to version 4 or select the version 3 option when you
compile. I would recommend the upgrade.
The above link is for the classic range of panelviews, not the plus range you are using.
