I'm essentially new to Siemens (the last time I programmed one, the development app ran under DOS). I'm programming a CPU315-2DP in LAD. The program and the program structure is very simple, and I'd like to keep it that way. Is there a *simple* way to convert a word (IW) variable derived from a 4-20 input to engineering units i.e. a simple zero and span conversion?

I'm using Step 7.

Thanks!

Mike

Fc 105 "scale"
Thanks for the quick reply.

What threw me off on FC105 was that, in "Help", it stated that fuction is for processing input from the 6ES5 464-8Mxx series of modules, and my AI module is a 6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0. Will FC105 work with that hardware?

Thanks again,

Mike

Mike,

It sounds like you are using the wrong FC105, you need the FC105 from the Standard Library in the TI-S7 Converting Blocks folder.
